Statewide Public Safety Wireless Communication System

Provide integrated Statewide public safety wireless communication system for public safety first responders across all levels of State government. This contract implements the Maryland FiRST public safety radio system.

The base term of the contract was changed in February 2018. The base term of the contract now expires in November 16, 2022 with an option for a 2​ year extension till November 17, 2025. This contract is not for general agency use.​ Any user agency purchases of additional subscriber or console equipment for the MD FiRST system must use the Radio Communications 2018 Master Contract.
