One of DoIT's main points of emphasis as an agency is strong MBE participation in State contracts. In conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA) and the efforts of other Maryland agencies, DoIT helps assure that State agencies work towards fulfilling the State's MBE participation goals.
Maryland has multiple programs available to minority, small, and veteran-owned business communities. Many of these programs are managed by other State agencies. The following programs are currently available and recognized within Maryland.
For additional information on these programs, please consult with the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs or the MDOT Office of Minority Business Enterprise.
In addition, DoIT hosts a monthly minority, small and veteran business outreach meeting to assist companies with the State’s minority business program. This meeting is typically held on the 3rd Monday of every month. For additional information on the outreach meetings, please contact MBE.DoIT@Maryland.gov
Below are a few examples of properly completed MBE Participation Forms that firms may use as a reference to complete the required MBE firms. Please check this section periodically for updates and additions.
