The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) has established a Master Contract with Software House International (SHI) effective 9/1/2007 to procure the following software and services for the State of Maryland:
- Category One: Microsoft Select Software and Services
Select Agreement: Any Requesting Agency (Agency) that has never placed an order under this or the previous MS LAR contract must first complete the Select Enrollment Form. State sponsored terms and conditions allow State, county and local government enrollment for discounts that are classified as "Level D". The actual purchase price is based on the monthly price list in effect during the time of installation. If the Agency requires additional licenses during the month following installation, a new purchase order is required to remain compliant with MS licensing agreements. - Category Two: Microsoft Enterprise Software and Services
Enterprise Agreement (EA): Prior to placing the first order, Agencies wishing to participate in the EA must submit the Enterprise Agreement. The minimum size of an order is 25 units. Using the EA, an Agency can receive discounts from 15% - 30% off the prices associated with the Select Agreement. To use the EA, the Agency has to agree to "standardize" with either one or all of the following Microsoft products: - Office Professional
- Windows Pro OS upgrade
- Exchange CAL
- System Management Server CAL
- SharePoint CAL
- Windows CAL
All other Microsoft products are considered "additional products" (i.e. Visio, Project, etc.). Pricing for additional products is the same as under the Select Agreement.
