Functional Area I - Two-Way Radio EquipmentThe acquisition of brand or generic name equipment to include but not limited to:
- Portable radios and accessories,
- Mobile radios and accessories,
- Base stations and accessories,
- Ancillary radio equipment including, but not limited to radio over IP (ROIP) equipment, interconnection equipment, mobile data products, system and network management equipment and GPS systems,
- Aircraft radios,
- Mobile computers/mobile data terminals.
- Associated equipment.
Functional Area II - Communications Consoles and Associated EquipmentThe acquisition of brand or generic name equipment to include but not limited to:
- Desktop and computer aided dispatch radio communications consoles and accessories,
- Telephone instant playback recorders and accessories,
- Audio monitor panels.
- Associated equipment.
Functional Area III - Installation, Repair and Preventive Maintenance Services
Installation services and removal with reinstallation services will be defined at the PORFP level. Installation services may include, but are not limited to:
- Mobile radios and associated equipment to include but not limited to:
- Such as (to include CBs, scanners and other equipment requested by the POC)
- Vehicular repeaters
- Vehicular chargers (portable units)
- Antennas (to include duplexers/diplexers)
- Mounting brackets or consoles
- Interconnection equipment
- Fixed based radios and associated equipment to include but not limited to:
- Base stations
- Communications consoles
- Base antennas
- Base station remote control stations
- Interconnection equipment
- System management equipment
- Vehicle emergency lighting equipment to include but not limited to:
- Light bars
- Rotating beacons
- Strobe lights
- Arrow sticks
- Grill/head/tail lights
- Mobile public safety systems
- Speed enforcement systems (Radar-Vascar)
- Automatic vehicle location/monitoring devices
- Mobile video equipment
- GPS equipment
- Mobile computers or Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) terminals
- Mobile data computers and terminals
- Analog and digital microwave radio equipment
- Dehydrators
- Multiplex shelves with channel cards
- Remote systems monitoring and battery back-up systems.
Repair and maintenance services will be defined at the PORFP level. Preventive maintenance shall be performed by the Master Contractor in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
The minimum preventive maintenance routine will include assurance that equipment is within the limits of the manufacturer’s specifications, and that “wear” items have been properly serviced, tightened, lubricated, etc., as required by good technical practices and the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Repair and maintenance services may include, but are not limited to:
- Preventive, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of fixed and mobile communications equipment
- Preventive, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of microwave communications equipment
- Preventive, routine and emergency repairs of all equipment, including the interfaces between equipment.
- Determining the source of faults within an affected system which are attributable to other systems, and initiating a response to such problems through notification of the using agency.
- Maintenance of the equipment in the condition existing, as of the date of the NTP for any awarded PORFP.
- Examples of the equipment include, but are not limited to:
- Portable radios
- Mobile radios
- Fixed base station
- Fixed repeater station
- Vehicular repeaters
- Vehicular adapters
- Vehicular chargers (for portable radios with no connectivity to in-vehicle mobile radio)
- 800Mhz radio equipment
- Mobile data terminals or CAD terminals
- Automatic vehicle location/monitoring devices
- Base station remote control stations
- Communications consoles
- Analog microwave radios
- Digital microwave radios
- Dehydrators
- Multiplex shelves with channel cards
- Remote alarm systems

- Design, integration, training and optimization services will be defined at the PORFP level. Design, integration, training and optimization services may include, but are not limited to:
- Expansion
- Program review
- Compliance with licensing regulations
- Requirements gathering
- Design review
- Change management
- Maintenance operations training
