Completing a Project 

Completing a project entails transitioning ownership from a project team to the stakeholder's organization or the business side of the house. The following steps must be taken to successfully complete an information technology (IT) project. Embedded in each step are links to the appropriate DBM budget processes and DoIT project management methodologies.

Congratulations on reaching this phase of your project!

Step 1: Complete the Implementation phase of the State's SDLC.

Step 2: Conduct the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phases of the State's SDLC.

Step 3: Conduct the Disposition phases of the State's SDLC, when applicable.

Step 4: Track and Report O&M expenses in your operating budget.

Step 5: Close the Books.

Step 6: Document Lessons Learned.

Step 7: Share Best Practices.
