Managing a Project 

The following steps must be taken to successfully manage an information technology (IT) project - once funding is secured. Embedded in each step are links to the appropriate DBM solicitation processes and DoIT project management methodologies.

Step 1: Begin the Planning, Requirements Analysis and Design Phases of the State's SDLC

Step 2: Develop a Task Order Request for Proposals, if utilizing contracted resources, including a Scope of Work for contracted products and/or services

Step 3: Begin the Development, Integration & Test, and Implementation Phases of the SDLC

Step 4: Monitor and Control Project Performance: PM Oversight & CM Oversight

Step 5: Complete the project
