​The GIS Data Catalog is Maryland’s open geospatial data portal, on Esri’s Open Data cloud platform. This resource is an online collection of Geographis Maryland’s open geospatial data portal, on Esri’s Open Data cloud platform. This resource is an online collection of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data that is hosted and maintained within the MD iMAP infrastructure. In addition, through the process of data federation, some agency partner’s GIS data is also available from this centralized resource. The GIS Data Catalog expedites the user’s search for authoritative geospatial data and content.
 

Service Level Objective (SLO):

GIS Data Catalog has a 99.9% uptime service level objective; excluding planned outages, maintenance windows and unavoidable events.
 

Features and Benefits:

The GIS Data Catalog provides centralized access to over 650 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data layers maintained by the State of Maryland. This web-based resource centralizes authoritative data for a variety of subject areas, including the environment, demographics, health, imagery, public safety and transportation. Data is maintained and updated and new data layers are added regularly.
 
  • Conveniently explore hundreds of data layers from categories, including environment and transportation.
  • Download full or filtered data layers in multiple formats or access data layers via APIs, for local use.
  • Use built-in, web-based tools to quickly visualize data in a table or map format.
  • Integrate hosted data layers into desktop and online applications for enhanced exploration.
  • Access statewide data layer coverages compiled from individual local jurisdiction contributions.

Standard Support Hours:  7am – 9pm Monday- Friday
 
Exceptions: The Service Desk is not available during State Holidays or Service Reduction Days
 
Response (to incident) Time: Based on priority, see SLA
 
Resolution (of incident) Time: Based on priority, see SLA
 
Maintenance Windows:  Esri pushes updates without any disruption of service.
 
Security – Open Access, No password required  
 
Business Critical Service:  Yes; Recovery Time – 4 hours
