The Maryland Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MD-ISAC) is a trusted source for information-sharing of cybersecurity threat intelligence (CTI) for the State of Maryland’s agencies and organizations. The MD-ISAC promotes an environment in which members can collaborate on cybersecurity events or incidents specific to the State of Maryland networks & systems.
The objective of the MD-ISAC is to provide cyber threat intelligence that is:
- Timely — Automated threat sharing platforms will enable immediate synthesis of new Threat Intelligence and deliver critical Information to each member organization in real time.
- Accurate— Threat Intelligence will be enhanced through Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and Indicators of Attack (IOA) for reporting and alerts.
- Actionable — Threat Intelligence will be made agency specific-actionable through customization to customer requirements and provisioning via industry-standard protocols and formats.
Membership
The MD-ISAC member community is built on trust among the members. This established trust will allow members to safely share information without concern that the information will cause unwanted attention to their organization.
The requesting agency must be a Maryland-based governmental organization or another governmental organization that has a direct relationship with the State of Maryland. The individual requesting membership on the organization’s behalf must be a staff member of that organization with the principal responsibility of cybersecurity at the organization. Individuals participating in MD-ISAC are required to accurately and reliably represent themselves and act in the best interest of the State of Maryland.
