​Accessing Documents in Different File Formats

Content on this website may be in different file formats that require plug-ins, or separate browser components, to properly view. All required plug-ins are free to use.

PDF Files

PDF documents ensure that you will be able to obtain publications in their original format regardless of what type of computer, browser or operating system you use to access the Internet. In order to view and/or print PDF documents, you must first download the Acrobat Reader software. 

Microsoft Documents

The free viewers for Microsoft Word and Excel are no longer supported by Microsoft and are not available from the official website. The only free option that we have identified for personal use is to use the Google's Gmail. you must sign up for a Google email address. Google Docs will open MS Word files, Google Sheets will open MS Excel files and Google Slides will open MS PowerPoint presentations. While you may find some formatting and feature differences from the Microsoft versions, these free options adequately allow you to view the documents found on this website.​

When you sign up, and access your mailbox, the apps are located in the upper right hand corner of the window. (See below).

 

If you don't see them in the initial screen, there is a link at the bottom that reads "More Apps" click that to expand the list.
