Employee Recognition

State employees are the lifeblood of our government and are on the front lines every day helping to change Maryland for the better. The tremendous progress our state has experienced would not be possible without their hard work and dedication. Secretary David Garcia of the Department of Information Technology encourages management to nominate staff that have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service to the citizens of Maryland and support the Department's mission internally.

Recently, Trez Moreland and Sabrina Fields were acknowledged by Brenda Kelly-Frey, Director of Telecommunications Access of Maryland (TAM), for their exceptional work;

"I would like to have Trez Moreland and Sabrina Fields recognized for their work on the new Service Now Database for TAM. These employees have spent many evenings and weekends verifying and scrubbing data, working on deficiencies, etc. They gave up a lot of their personal time off to ensure that the data migrated was as perfect as it could be."

Sabrina was previously the Lead Evaluator for the Maryland Accessible Telecommunications Program, and continues her involvement in Telecommunications Access of Maryland’s new tablet program.

Trez Moreland is the Lead Technical Advisor on the ServiceNow Implementation Team and has served as the Lead Information Technology Service Manager for ServiceNow since 2015. She developed and maintained several remedy applications for managing Application Security Services, Network Maryland Incident Management, Provisioning of Services, and Time and Material Work Ordering for the Managed Services Contract.

Secretary Garcia issued Secretary Citations to both employees at the Senior Staff meeting on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, and thanked them for their hard work and dedication serving the State and the Department.
