The Project Management Office (PMO) is located within the Department of Information Technology's Strategic Planning Division in downtown Annapolis. It was established to further the implementation of the State’s Information Technology Master Plan's initiative to encourage professional project management and contract management throughout the State and support DBM's customers: the 63 Executive Branch State agencies, boards and commissions.
The PMO provides oversight of the DBM and statewide information technology (IT) and telecommunication contracts and the State's Major IT Development Projects (MITDP). It does so through the two PMO branches: Project Management and Contract Management.
