Captioned Telephone Education
If you, or others in your community, have difficulty hearing over the phone, request a free Captioned Telephone presentation from Maryland Relay. Learn how to take advantage of Maryland Relay’s Captioned Telephone service, which provides word-for-word captions of phone conversations, as you also listen. Presentations will also include information on applying for free assistive telephone equipment from the Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT) program.
Captioned Telephone Demo Program
Host a Captioned Telephone “trial” at your facility or organization, free of charge. Maryland Relay will temporarily place a Captioned Telephone on-site, allowing your employees, residents, or others who are hard of hearing to make test calls and determine if Captioned Telephone meets their needs.
School Outreach
Invite Maryland Relay to come to your elementary, middle, or high school for a free presentation on Deaf culture and Maryland Relay services. The fun, interactive experience includes stories told in American Sign Language and a TTY demonstration.
