The Maryland Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MD-ISAC) is a trusted source for Information-Sharing and Intrusion Analysis on Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence in the State of Maryland. The MD-ISAC promotes an environment in which members can collaborate to address Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence events or incidents specific to the State of Maryland Networks.
About MD-ISAC
The MD-ISAC is in a unique position to generate actionable Threat Intelligence to share with MD-ISAC member organizations that have the potential to impact the State of Maryland’s Mission. MD-ISAC is reducing the risks to operations and data privacy loss from Cyber Threats which are increasing and evolving daily. One of the key advantages that enables MD-ISAC member organizations to protect themselves is the ability to share actionable and timely Threat Intelligence Information. This information provides organizations with meaningful Threat Intelligence and creates an advantage in disrupting cybercriminals’ attacks.
Objectives
Provide Threat Intelligence that is:
- Timely — Automated threat sharing platforms will enable immediate synthesis of new Threat Intelligence and deliver critical Information to each member organization in real time.
- Accurate— Threat Intelligence will be enhanced through Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and Indicators of Attack (IOA) for reporting and alerts.
- Actionable — Threat Intelligence will be made agency specific-actionable through customization to customer requirements and provisioning via industry-standard protocols and formats.
