Small, Veteran and Minority-owned Businesses

The State of Maryland and DoIT want to increase participation of small, veteran and minority-owned businesses. Be a part of the team and do business with the State by following these three easy steps:

Step 1: Certify Your Business as a Small, Veteran, or Minority-owned Business

The State of Maryland has multiple programs available to small, veteran and minority businesses. Many of these programs are managed by other state agencies. The following programs are currently available and recognized within the State of Maryland.

  1. Minority Business Enterprise Program – To learn about becoming a certified Minority Business within the State of Maryland
  2. Small Business Reserve Program – To learn more about the Small Business Reserve program
  3. Veteran Owned Small Business Enterprise Program – To participate in the program, veteran-owned businesses must be verified and certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise. Learn more and to become certified.

For additional information on these programs, please consult with the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs or the MDOT Office of Minority Business Enterprise.

Step 2: Register Your Business in eMaryland Marketplace (eMMA)
