MITDP Oversight Process
Page Content
MITDP Oversight is based on the State’s System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which provides project managers a framework for developing an incremental and iterative solution delivery. DoIT is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of MITDPs, regardless of fund source. This includes ensuring that all development, maintenance, and IT policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and appropriate documentation prepared.
Each MITDP is assigned a DoIT Oversight Adviser (OA). The role of the DoIT OA is to monitor and report upon projects designated as MITPDs to ensure they are meeting requirements as outlined in the State Finance and Procurement Statute. Their role is essential to maintaining a clear understanding of the project’s objectives, funding, risks, milestones, and successes and helping ensure it is on track for success.
MITDP-owning agencies are required to perform a variety of activities and submit various reports and information throughout the life of their MITDP. Each project’s OA will communicate these requirements as necessary. DoIT uses the information provided through these activities to submit required reports to the Governor's Office and the General Assembly, as required by law.
In addition, DoIT provides
a variety of optional templates to assist agencies throughout the lifecycle of their MITDP.
