Domain Name (DNS)

This service registers and configures the unique website address (a domain name) and maintains the Domain Name Services (DNS) record for your website. Domain names are customizable and include vanity URLs, however, the DNS must be provided by DoIT and the URL must be a maryland.gov subdomain.

SSL Certificate

This service enables agencies to implement SSL certificates on servers facing the internet or general public. DoIT OSM manages the configuration of the certificate management platform, management of certificate renewal, and certificate delivery while the customer is responsible for identifying their certificate needs.​​​​​

Website Archiving​

​The Maryland State Archives (MSA) maintains all State of Maryland data, including websites, and performs regular scheduled and ad-hoc archival snapshots. Learn how to request an ad-hoc snapshot of your state website, which is recommended before making significant updates.​​
