Acting Secretary of DoIT
Melissa Leaman
Melissa Leaman is the Chief Operating Officer for the Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT), where she oversees the department's day-to-day operations through the
Office of Business Operations. She directly supervises the department's Fiscal, Budget, Contracts, and Portfolio offices.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Leaman was DoIT’s Assistant Secretary of Finance and Administration and Chief of Staff, where her main duties were to advise the Department’s previous Secretary. She also served as the Chief Financial Officer, where she was responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the department's financial actions.
Before joining the Maryland State Government, Ms. Leaman served as Assistant Finance Director for the City of Annapolis, where she oversaw the city’s financial planning and management, including preparing its operating and capital budgets.
